The actor Penn Badgley, who plays You, was interviewed on Podcrushed podcast. In the video, Grande talks about starting off with a lower voice when recording new music then switching to a higher tone.
After giving her opinion, Grande stated that “habit (speaking like this for two years) and also vocal health” were the reasons behind the change.
“(I) intentionally change my vocal placement (high/low) often depending on how much singing I’m doing,” she stated. “I’ve always done this BYE.”
After the release of her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, in March, Grande hinted at more new songs during the interview.
“I went to the studio the day after the Met (Gala) and stayed for like 10 days and I was literally living there,” she explained. “I may have written more than just what I’ve been writing. One day, I hope to perform a deluxe.”
US singers Brandy and Monica, who released the original song on which the new track is based in 1998, are included in a new remix of Grande’s song The Boy Is Mine, which will be released on Friday, as she announced earlier this month.
The singer, whose successes include “One Last Time,” “Into You,” “Tears Left To Cry,” and “Thank U, Next.
