Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition, harshly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, claiming that the claims he made in the Lok Sabha were accurate. Gandhi’s remarks came after the Speaker decided to remove a number of sections from his speech that dealt with minority rights, the NEET exam dispute, and the Agnipath plan.
“In the world of Modi ji, the truth is expungable. However, in actuality, the truth cannot be ignored. The truth is that I stated what needed to be said. They are free to remove as much as they like. Before arriving at the ongoing Parliament session, Rahul Gandhi informed reporters that “the truth is the truth.”
Gandhi made comments on Hindus, Prime Minister Modi, the BJP, and the RSS, among other topics, that were removed from his speech, according to NDTV.
Furthermore, his remarks regarding the Agniveer Scheme and industrialists Adani and Ambani were expunged from the official records of parliament.
There were several interruptions to Gandhi’s hour-and-forty-minute address, including statements from at least five cabinet ministers and Prime Minister Modi. During the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged Gandhi to apologize.
Gandhi made a point in his address to underline that bravery is a virtue that transcends all religions. With his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and mother Sonia Gandhi in the visitors’ gallery, he made his comments during the Motion of Thanks debate following the president’s speech to a joint session of Parliament.
